Tahlia has such an active imagination and I love watching her play. When she was 3 years old, one of her favorite pastimes was hosting her own tea parties. She never invited any of her stuffed animals. She occasionally invited her older sister and twin brother, but for the most part it was a one party show. lol.

and I would do it again, again, and again. So far, I've watched it twice. I teared up. It was an awesome event. I wish I could have been in that massive crowd and watch the bride and groom traverse the streets of London. There's enough craziness in the world today. It's nice to have a 'feel good' moment every now and then.
As a child, I remember watching Prince Charles and Diana's wedding with my mom. This evening I watched Prince William and Kate's wedding for a second time with my oldest daughter. It was a surreal moment. I guess it's one of those moments that mothers and daughters can appreciate.
Happy Hump Day! I thought it would be fun to snap some photos of my current workspace and some projects that I'm working on. My studio is really cramped for how much stuff I have in it. I think the room measures out to be 8ft x 8ft. Ultimately, I would love for us to get into a house with a large enough room where it can be made into my craft studio and the kids' play area. I'm hoping that we find this place soon. My room is in complete disarray so I'll only show a photo of one corner of my studio. I'm too embarassed to show more! Forgive me for the piss poor lighting, it's a gloomy day here in Northwest Florida.

Finally, some bottlecap and scrabble tile pendants that I'm working on. I'm just waiting on some more chains and organza ribbons, from my etsy suppliers, to get here. I'll probably be updating my Etsy store some time this weekend.
Just curious, how many have you have sold your handmade items at local arts & craft fairs? Was it a good experience for you? Let me know, I'd love to hear your input or suggestions. That's it for now. It's almost the weekend, hang in there! :)
It might not be a lot to some, but it is for me. :) Happy Tuesday everyone! I've been working night shift the past few weeks, so I have a lot of alone time until the wee hours of the morning while the family sleeps. The past few nights I've been reflecting and creating, as I go through some older photos tucked away in shoe boxes. As I was flipping through the stacks of photos, I could easily recall the scenes and events. I'm thankful that my memory hasn't gone kaput just yet. It does lead me to some questions to ask you all. How soon do you upload photos from your camera? Do you jot anything down to remember the event? Finally, how long does it take for those photos to find their way onto a page?
This is one of the photos I found last night of my oldest daughter and I knew instantly that it needed a new home...on a page.

It's almost that time of year...Mother's Day. There is no greater joy than being a mom. It's a full time gig and unlike any random job, there's no 'I don't feel like coming in today' or calling in sick. There are ups and downs. I learn something new and continue to grow with every experience.
The page below documents exactly that. I used up the last of my Donna Salazar's 'Antiquities' stash. The collection is so timeless and I thought it was fitting.
As Mother's Day quickly approaches, and most of us scramble to create or find that perfect gift, I leave you with a final thought. There is no greater gift, than the gift of love.
