this beautiful girl entered our lives. I still refuse to accept how fast she's grown up. Yes, I know time flies but I refuse to accept it. Pardon the cliche, but it does seem like it was just yesterday.
It's so important to appreciate and cherish their childhood. We've all been there...frazzled parents always in a rush for kids to get a little older so they're more self-sufficient. I often think of the movie "Click" with Adam Sandler when I have those moments, but I digress.
I love the seriousness in J's face (above photo), like she's been warming up all day so she can blow out all candles in a single try. Little did she know, that I went with trick candles this year. I can be a real ass sometime, I know. This was the first and last time that I'll do the trick candles though. Those things were a pain in the ass to put out and it seemed like forever for the smoke to clear.
Check out the Nikon Coolpix she received from her grandparents this year. Are you serious? What happened to getting cheapo cameras when you were a kid? This thing has more megapixels than my Nikon D60. And before my husband chimes in and tells me to stop being jealous...I'll admit it. I'm jealous! This was the exact color/model that I wanted when they first hit the scene. Maybe it will "get lost". *He just told me if I steal it from our daughter, he's going to kick my ass. Haha.*
J wants to try out her new rollerblades tomorrow, so after we bust our asses a few hundred times...I plan on doing something "crafty". That's if I can pry myself from my laptop and stop oogling over all the new releases from CHA '11. One of these days...
