PicMonkey <3 and Etsy update

Happy Monday! Real quick. A lot of my photog buds were upset when Flickr decided to go with a new photo editor, Aviary. I briefly experimented with it and was pretty disappointed with it's limited tool options. I heard about PicMonkey via Flickr buzz. It has a lot of the same options that Picnik had. I actually like their filters more than the picnik's. If you're still looking for a photo editor, I encourage you to check it out.

I have two more necklaces for this week's update. I really love the purple one and I'm fighting the urge to keep it to myself.

Happy Armed Forces Day and a giveaway

On August 31, 1949, Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace sepearate Army, Navy and Air Force Days.  The single-day celebration stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under one department --- the Department of Defense.

one proud mama moment and a winner

Today was the last day of school for Jayda.  It is still hard to wrap my head around the fact that she will be moving on to the 5th grade next year!

Jayda has really blossomed into a student athlete.  She won several awards during their student recognition ceremony. 

Not only did she finish the school year on the A/B Honor Roll...

She was also recognized for running the most laps (156) during the school year and as the fastest runner in her school!  That's right peeps, my little girl outran the boys and left them in her dust.  Her fastest mile time was 7:26!

I am one proud mama!!!

'Scrap Queen' Necklace Giveaway

 

Allo, fellow scrappers!  My giveaway today is this adorable bottlecap organza ribbon necklace created by yours truly.  The image was printed on photo paper, adhered to the bottlecap, and sealed with an epoxy dome.  The pendant has an "O" ring for easy attachment to almost any chain.  The organza ribbon features a lobster clasps and are approximately 18'' in length with a 2'' extender.
