I have this obsession for children toys. Whether it's normal, or abnormal, I'll leave that entirely up to you; but they make me happy. See the mini lalaloopsy above? She's going to be my new muse, or blog mascot even.
Earlier this week I decided that I would make an attempt to get back into making scrapbook layouts. First, I needed to tidy up my studio because it's an absolute wreck. The only time I've gone in there over the past few months, was to customize a blythe. Mission complete. After that, I was at a complete lost on where to even begin. I honestly can't remember the last layout I've made. No BS. So the second step, sign up for a month long challenge at Scrapdango to see if that would help. The first challenge went up this morning and it seemed simple enough; however, I'm at a lost.
Maybe I need a warmup before I attempt to make this layout. I'm gonna try this art journaling thing and see if it helps jumpstart my creativity.
See the book in the above photo? I picked it up from the B&N and I'm glad I did. The authors go into nice detail about different supplies and techniques that you can use when creating pages in your art journal. They also have a number of different prompts throughout the book. Sure, I can pull all that information from different websites/blogs, but all that work would definitely be a buzzkill; Besides, I like having this information at my fingertips for easy reference.
Will have an update on my progress this weekend. Stay tuned. ♥
